Russian Oktava has concluded the contract for the microphone distribution with the largest chain of music stores, Zuhal Muzik (Istanbul, Turkey). The sum of the contract is $500, 000.
Zuhal Foreign Trade Inc was founded in Istanbul in 1976 as a family business. Nowadays, the company runs a network of retail music stores in the largest cities of Turkey, including a Pro Shop store that specializes in professional musical instruments, and supplies products to 240 outlets in all regions of Turkey. In addition, Zuhal Foreign Trade Inc is a leader in online trading and cooperates with major e-commerce platforms such as Hepsiburada.com, Hizlial.com, n11.com, and others.
“Cooperation with Zuhal Muzik gives Oktava access to the entire region — this company sells music products not only in Turkey, but also to neighboring Middle Eastern countries: Iran, Kuwait, and others. Zuhal Muzik is the leader of music retail in Turkey. Oktava microphones will be presented at concept-stores in big cities. These are spaces with everything for music, including instruments, equipment, professional recording studios, classrooms, clothes, literature, test boxes, and even cafes and restaurants,” – said Lyubov Stalnova, Marketing Director of the Oktava.
First of all, the most popular model of Oktava will become available in Turkey – MK-012 small-diaphragm condenser microphone for recording and sounding instruments. Consumers will also be acquainted with the classic line of Oktava microphones — the retail stores of the chain will sell large-diaphragm condenser microphones MK-220, MK-319, MK-105, and other models of the modern line, including the latest releases – sets based on MK-012 microphones, condenser microphones from the premium line MK-115 and MK-117, and MD-305 vocal dynamic microphone.
“We consider the conclusion of this contract the most important step for Oktava towards further consolidation in Turkish market of music and sound systems, as well as the increase of Russian non-resource exports to the Republic of Turkey,” — said the Aleksandr Bakustin, Counselor of Trade Representation of Russian Federation in Istanbul – Turkey.
According to the Trade Representation of Russian Federation in Istanbul - Turkey, the Turkish market of musical instruments and equipment is estimated at 90-100 million US dollars, and now more than 80% of its participants are leading foreign companies from North America, Japan, China, and Europe. It is important for economic development that Russian companies with the necessary potential and capabilities were also presented at it.
“We believe that music is a universal language that unites cities, nations, and people and helps us understand each other better. We are working to make the environment better and happier with this universal language. By combining and attracting well-known brands, we aim to expand the music industry, primarily focusing on the needs of musicians. And we are very happy that this year we have started cooperation with Oktava, a Russian brand with a rich history that preserves the heritage and traditions of electroacoustic production in Russia,” – said Umur Sungurlu, the marketing manager of Zuhal Muzik.
The contract with Zuhal Muzik is the sixth big export contract of the Russian manufacturer of electroacoustics with foreign distributors since the beginning of the year. Russian microphone manufacturer supplies its developments to Germany, Greece, China, the USA, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Ecuador, Serbia, and other countries.
