On October 22-23, “Oktava” takes part in the International Symposium "Art Music Recording Industry". The event takes place in Moscow as part of the International Award "Pure Sound". It is the first project in Russia dedicated to the recording industry of art instrumental music and vocals.
"Oktava" presents its microphones for sound producer's work in different acoustic conditions. Among the models are: condenser studio microphones MK-115 and MK-117, Oktava's top-of-the-line models — universal condenser microphone MK-012 and tube premium segment microphone MKL-5000 Also, everyone will be able to listen to microphones series MK-101, MK-105, MK-220, MK-519, ML-52-02 included in the harmonized product line.
"The participants of the Symposium have the opportunity to listen to microphones in a specially equipped room and get expert advice. And under the framework of the main exhibition sound producers, musicians, representatives of theaters and philharmonic societies will be able to get acquainted with the Oktava microphones recommended for recording art music", said Lyubov Stalnova, Director of Marketing of Oktava Plant.
The electric acoustics manufacturer recommends the condenser microphone MK-012 for instruments rear-fill. Sound producers appreciate the universality of this microphone and note the richness and clarity of the sound. MK-012 has a small overall dimensions and weighs only 115 g. It has a sensitivity of 12-16 mV/PA per 1 kHz and low noise: less than 18 dB. The microphone is capable of recording loud sounds even at a short distance and it is suitable not only for recording guitar, piano, but also for the rear-fill of percussion instruments. The microphones assemblies and the separate insets are also supplied in a stereo pair.
For work in a studio, it's especially interesting to note the band microphone ML-52-02, tube microphone MKL-5000 and condenser microphone MK-117.
The ML-52-02 is a rare example of a band microphone, especially suitable for recording deep low voices, percussion, strings, reed, brass and woodwind instruments.
The MKL-5000 is a large diaphragm tube microphone in a brass case with the original design of the insets. The MKL-5000 is ideal for recording solo vocals and choral ensembles and allows working with any of three directional characteristics due to built-in switches. This allows using the microphone for solo, duet or choir performance.
The MK-117 is a development presented at NAMM-2018 that continues the bottle series with a retro design. The microphone inset, like for the MKL-5000, is as open as possible, so that the design adds a minimum of overtones when recording instruments.
The Symposium "Art Music Recording Industry" aims to create a platform for sharing experiences and cooperation between members of the industry, a platform for highlighting key industry issues, discussing possible solutions, and developing proposals for the development of the art music recording industry. The Symposium participants will also discuss the role of the media in the development of the recording industry, consider the sound space of art music from the point of view of musicology and get acquainted with business decisions in the field of copyright in the recording industry.
The event will take place in the showroom of the "Ladoga" common business space (Moscow, Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment, 12, entrance 7). More information on http://symposium-sound-pure.com/en/home/
